Indian sweets define Indian culture and play an integral part in the country’s cuisine; no restaurant menu would be complete without a substantial offering. The delicate, fragile and varied nature makes their creation a very specialized and knowledgeable profession, and Modus decided that the only way the truly distinctive Indian taste could be guaranteed was to manufacture in-house, under the Saras brand. Enormous pride is taken in offering the largest possible range of sweets from all over India, all traditionally prepared by gifted, professional chefs.
These sweets feature prominently on the Saras restaurants’ menu, and can be purchased to take away for indulgence at home or as thoughtful gifts; in particular, attractive and elegant packaging is available for Diwali, the Indian New Year. The popularity of the range is such that they are now supplied to other Indian restaurants in and around Bangkok as well as to other catering customers, for whom bulk supplies can be made to order for important occasions such as corporate events, weddings, and religious celebrations.
Throughout the year there are several Indian festivals and, to celebrate these occasions – most importantly Diwali – Modus produces festive specialties that cannot be found anywhere else in Thailand.
